Occupational Health Services
Rocky Mountain, MSO Occupational Health Department is a comprehensive
provider committed to the quality treatment of occupational
injury/illness; the provision of workplace safety; and education
programs, and development of injury prevention. Our goal is to return
injured employees to the work place as quickly as possible and to
provide the most cost-effective and highest quality healthcare
available. We look forward to working with you to reduce your worker’s
compensation costs.
Quick, Competent Medical Care
High Country Health Care and Vail-Summit Orthopaedics Physicians are trained in emergency care, family practice, orthopaedics and occupational health. You will have access to a complete
staff of specialists, throughout Summit and Eagle Counties, should the
need arise. Referral services enable client companies to meet all their
occupational health needs through one provider.
Case Management
Employers have one principal contact with the medical clinic, a nurse
case manager. Our case management system tracks cases from the initial
visit until the employee is discharged from care by coordinating
treatment efforts with the employer, medical and rehab providers, the
injured worker and insurance carrier.
24-Hour Accessibility
Injured employees have 24 hour access to medical care and are treated as
quickly as possible. Employees can be seen during regular hours of our
medical clinics. A physician on call is available after hours and we
also utilize the services of Summit Medical Center and Vail Valley
Medical Center.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy and sports rehabilitation promotes early and safe
return to work post injury. Through the use of supervised individual
exercise programs and education, our clients are directed towards early
recovery. We refer our patients to physical therapy facilities in
Dillon, Breckenridge, Frisco, Vail and Edwards, so services are easily
available to you employees.
Costs
Work-related injury treatment is subject to the Worker’s Compensation
fee schedule as it is with all providers/clinics. Designation of a
primary provider may allow for a discount on premium. Employer clients
realize cost savings through case management. Case management reduces
the amount of time lost at work and helps prevent unnecessary treatment.
There is no "walk-in" fee for worker’s compensation
patients.
